The monkeypox virus is the same as smallpox but not related to chickenpox, and  its symptoms are similar to smallpox but milder and are rarely fatal

Muscle ache

Symptoms of monkeypox can include: Fever, Headache, Muscle aches and backache, Swollen lymph nodes, Chills, Exhaustion

A rash that can look like pimples on the face, inside  the mouth, and on various other parts of the body, like  the hands, feet, chest, etc  can be Monkeypox

The rash goes through different stages before it actually heals completely. The illness in monkeypox normally lasts 2-4 weeks

Sometimes, people get a rash first, followed by other symptoms while some people experience only a rash in their body.

Prevention- Avoid any kind of close skin-to-skin contact with people who have a rash that looks like monkeypox

Avoid touching any kind of rash or scabs of a person with monkeypox, and do not share eating utensils  or cups with a person with monkeypox

Avoid touching the bedding, towels, or clothing of a person with monkeypox and wash hands often with soap and sanitizer
